“His (Dave MacDonald) songs take a look at life in that personal way that lets the emotion grab the listener”
- Lois Fergson
“While boisterous songs like “Sleep When You Are Dead” have a foot-stomping, hand-clapping flavour, you’ll find yourself listening just as intently to the sheer poetry of Dave MacDonald’s spoken selection, “Summer’s End.”....The awards’ shelf of this talented foursome gets more and more crowded.”
- Tom Rath
“Lazy Jacks is the kind of band that sort of makes you want to go steal a fishing boat from some random harbour with a big group of your friends and have them play your Fishing Boat Bash 2005 as you all rock the boat out until sunset. And, the funny part is, I think they’d probably be game for it, too, if you asked them.” - Todd MacLean
Lazy Jacks is a "Down East" experience like no other. This band of
unbelievably talented musicians provides their audience with a feeling of
excitement that they will not soon forget. As much as PEI has to offer the
world, these fine gentlemen are its greatest asset. - Tracey Robinson, President of the Miramichi Irish Festival
“It will serve them well in keeping their fans entertained and the gigs coming in.”
- Tim Readman

The band is a blend of four unique yet complementary musical personalities. Dave MacDonalds poetic soul captures complex emotions and turns them into hauntingly familiar lyrics. Historian Peter Wynne rediscovers stories from our past and transforms them into melodies for the present day. Dwight MacDonalds bass provides the musical foundation and his infectious charm establishes an immediate connection with the audience. Peter Robinsons fiddling keeps all toes tapping and his devilish grin reveals the good time that is had by all.
Lazy Jacks music have been performing throughout the summer at venues including the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, Miramichi Irish Festival (headline performer), Tignish Irish Festival (headline performer), Concert on the Common in Rothsay, NB, The International Shellfish Festival and Old Home Week in Charlottetown.
