Andrean Deshon Willis (born in Gary, IN June 11, 1986),[1] better known by his stage name DMBZDOT, is an American rapper, record producer, entrepreneur, activist, and occasional actor that has been writing for over 17 years. He is one of the most influential hip-hop artists and leaders in America. In 2010, ReverbNation ranked him #1 HipHop artist in NE Indiana and has since held that title no contest, while also boasting the number one position in all genres two years straight and he is currently the only rapper in the top ten of all genres. (#5 spot all genre)[2][3] He has sold approximately 1500 albums regionally, has an active fan base of about 10,000 worldwide and on normal nights can draw 50-200 fans to a show depending on location/date/time. [4][5] He has starred in two independent feature films, seven commercials and has been nominated for several awards including HomeTown FilmArt award for best video concept in 2008 and the MHA award for best HipHop artist in 2013 and numerous additional nominations. [6] He is consistently ranked as one of the greatest rappers in five cities.[7][8]
DMBZDOT owns the clothing company Gr8Tr ThN GeaR, he is CEO of the record/publishing company Gr8Tr ThN MUSic, and has a host of innovative business plans in the works for the future.[9] As an artist, he holds registration on the Billboard 200 (US), a well as mainstream charts for the UK/Canada/Ireland/Sweden.[10][11] On December 11, 2009, DMBZDOT was ranked as the 10th most likely successful artist of the 2000s by “The Cum Up” and ranking as the 5th top solo male artist and as the #1 top rapper.[12] He was also ranked the 670th greatest artist nationally and 810tth globally.[13] He is also a full time student, attending Full Sail University studying Music Business.[14] He is currently single and has one daughter named A’jea Marie Willis, born in September 2009.
