Wiva Riders are a musical force of nature, hailing from the hot desert sands of the American Southwest. After hosting their own village at the Burning Man Festival 2010, Monsoon and Kahu were inspired to invent their own style of production and performance, based on the transformative power of Kundalini yoga combined with the boundless energy of extreme sports. They have spent the last four years perfecting the style they call the ‘Wiva Wheel’; finally founding Wiva Records on Earth Day 2014.
Every song they craft in their Fountain Hills’ studio has an exclusive harmonic relationship with an original painting, known as a ‘Wiva Portal’. These abstract visuals are integrated seamlessly with their musical counterparts during live shows. Currently, fans can order the artwork on their website as posters or even as clothing that they can wear at their online shop, Wivaware.
They have already self-released five singles, which are available at all digital retailers including Spotify, iTunes, Bandcamp and Soundcloud. Expect more music, tour dates, and videos to drop in anticipation of their debut EP, Wivalystic: Surf The Tsunami in April, which they look forward to printing on eco-friendly vinyl via crowd-funding.
