Bio

Waiting Hill out of Charlotte, NC has been compared to the likes of Switchfoot, Counting Crows, and Needtobreathe, among other bands toting a lead harmonica player and rock sound, but they are looking to move past comparisons to create something new and fresh for the listener.
"We're definitely different than anything Ive heard before, I mean, how many bands do you know with a harmonica player that tries to play it like a guitar?" jokes Mark Chambers, vocalist and harmonica player. The band has been together for about two years and have gone through many trials to get them to this point. Throughout this, they have grown closer as a band, and have really strived to write songs that are personal to them but will connect with anyone willing to listen.
That is what Waiting Hill has been founded upon. We write about our experiences and our struggles no matter how difficult they may be to express. People need to know that they're not alone. As a society, we try so hard to put on a picture of perfection, but no one's life could ever meet that expectation.

With soaring guitar leads, ambient harmonica lines, and catchy melodies, Waiting Hill has been making an impact in the Charlotte area since early 2012. The band's first EP, 'The Long Road Home' was recorded at Gray Area studios in Nashville, TN and released on June 4, 2013. It reached #256 on the ITunes charts in it's first day of release. The band has shared the stage with Decemberadio, Chasen, Echoing Angels, Samestate, and many others.

Waiting Hill is Mark Chambers, Chris Davis, Wesley Wilson, and Jonathan Keener. You can contact them at booking@waitinghill.com for booking information.
