Bio
Vik G. Trio are a piano-rock trio with jazz influences, who hail from Kansas City. Formed in 2013 by lead singer, songwriter, and pianist Vik Govindarajan (Vik G. for short), the band has evolved into a eclectic group that lights the stage wherever they play. With a variety of influences including Ben Folds [Five], Steely Dan, Radiohead, and Herbie Hancock, they bring a very unique and diverse array of flavors to their music. Currently, they are working on recording their first full length album and can be seen as a monthly featured resident at Kansas City's historic jazz club The Phoenix.
