The rock / metal band THREE LEFT, founded in 2006 located in the Southeastern, Wi.
An excellent performance, both in terms of the playful and the songwriting generic component , on their debut EP "Three Left". Driving riffs and singable melodies alternate here with singing and partly painfully sweet choruses. So in the opening "Beating Around The Bush" or "Stand Up". In songs like "Let Me Go", which is also one of the best songs on "Three Left", these guys have quite a steady hand at songwriting. THREE LEFT deliver on their debut consistently varied and complex songs full of stuck good ideas. Already the double whammy "Face Turned Black" and "Who Wants To Be Afraid" shows , LEFT THREE should go the way they trod with their debut . There are also very melodic and part rock lead guitar and already all the components of a really perfect Metal album are present.
The result is high quality. This EP is making continuous fun: all killer - No Filler. So it's a good, indeed a perfect work. So also "Popular" isn´t bored at any time. This EP is a step in the right direction and any fan of the genre should check it out . Chadwick Davis (vocals), Ron Hardcastle (bass), John Miller on drums and the twin-lead guitar duo Rich Czebotar and Dan Beall. The guitar fraction ensures fine twin-lead moments, and in the arrangement of the five shows a steady hand. Weak points you have to look with a magnifying glass on the album anyway. The playing time of about 22 minutes just flies - equal to Repeat and hear "Three Left" a second time. - Thomas Müller
REVIEW
Super rock band with a heavy groove southern feel. Very fast passed and aggressive with some awesome mind blowing guitar riffs, heavy drum beats and cool yet hard vocals. What I love about these guys is they are melodic yet do it in a turbo charged way. Vocally Superb, Lyrically supreme and the music is toe tapping, head banging, jump in the air stuff. A very good addition to any collection.

Ahh, hard rock takes me back, man. Back to just about every metal heads days before they were metal heads and all they had was some hard rock to jam out to before getting into heavier shit. Three Left is one of those bands that takes me back to those days for me. Their self-titled EP has a great rhythm to it that is key to any sort of rock album, but it also has an edge to it that rivals that of heavier alternative metal bands which makes things fairly interesting. The vocals have a smoother feel to them that you might not expect when paired with the crunch of the whole rest of the band, and it works really well despite what you might wanna think. There was a nice flow and catch with each track and the amount of riffs that drew your attention in with were spot on to say in the least and they sounded absolutely magnificent. I’m not completely sure if this is Three Left’s debut, but it is then it’s one hell of a debut! I cannot wait until they release another album as I’m sure it will be as entertaining as this EP is, if not more. But we can only wait and this album is more than good enough to us occupied for the time being. - Vinterd
Formed in 2006, officially considered an aggressive groove rock and metal band, the five-piece living thunderbolt hailed from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Cutting edge sound and melody, rich energy and powerful stage presence, are but a few of their signatures. Three Left‘s concoction is made up of the charisma of frontman Chadwick Davis, killer twin guitar attacks by guitarists Dan Beall and Rich Czebotar, John Miller‘s resounding drum grooves, Ron Hardcastle‘s swinging bass lines, topped with Dan Beall‘s dynamics and Rich Czebotar‘s genius arrangements. - Ginny
Three Left was formed in 2006 by Chadwick Davis (vocals), Dan Beall (guitar), Rich Czebotar (guitar), Ron Hardcastle (bass) and Miller (formerly of Bluffton IN, which is just up the road a ways from me, just goes to show how small the world is) on drums. Three Left released their self-titled EP in 2015. There are a lot of wicked melodies and punchy grooves packed into this EP.
“Beating Around The Bush” starts out the EP with as pure as a hard rock song as you will find anywhere. The chorus line of “one by one we all fall down, single file with a single round” is a powerful line open to so many interpretations with today’s current events. “Stand Up” opens with a chugging riff and the beat that follows takes me straight back to the euphoria I felt when I first heard “Sad But True”. Barely two songs in and this band has me hook, line and sinker! “Stand Up” has very radio friendly feel while still having that shadowy dark cloud of danger hanging over it. This track also has an incredible guitar solo, that while metal, has a bluesy feel to it. “Let Me Go” is a good follower with hypnotically driving guitar riffs and angry screams.
“Popular” is super catchy and hard. Described to me by Miller as “about this guy being two different people. One voice is telling him he is popular, and the real person cannot stand the voices of being told he is popular! It is an anti-ego anthem in a way!” The vocals are venomous, more so when there is an air of vanity in the lyrics, while the drums hammer away at the inside of your skull. “Face Turned Black” for me is the standout track, reminiscent of early Misfits but much more refined. With a stuttering guitar riff that clears the way for an unrelenting rhythm that is like thunder in the night sky. The two combine for a very heavy groove until the chorus comes in and the vocals become hauntingly soothing. The guitar solo on this track is like a gateway to another dimension and just as you are about to float away, the chorus yanks you back. “Who Wants To Be Afraid” is a perfect bookend to the opening song. With a slow building opening of an acoustic guitar (and if it isn’t it sure has that quality of sound) along with what sounds like a harmonica, the power kicks in and suddenly there is a tremendous amount of depth and with the more subdued vocals there are layers upon layers of sound here.
As so happens with EP’s, at least with good EP’s, I’m left wanting more. This is a great EP! The vocals have an aftertaste of grit much like James Hetfield possesses, the rhythms provided by the drums and bass are strong and drive the songs forward without letting anything get in their way while the dual guitars are searing and very complementary to each other. Combined, you are left with aggressive metal with flowing melodies. With talks of a second EP or, hopefully, a full length in the near future, Three Left deserves you to take notice. I, for one, will be eagerly watching to see what Three Left gives us in the future. - Selective memory Magazine c/o Brad Flynn
