Washington producers Khris P, along with beat sidekick Lou Swang, are the Kream Team, a team that works with local rappers like TVespa and Leon Swanks. They produced the outstanding debut tape by ILLFIGHTYOU with sparse, head-splitting beats that sound like Odd Future if the Fairfax kids were better at music. The Kream Team have the uncanny ability to make potential crossover music (like ThLife’s “Trilla Boy”) and more unpolished production (like Jeanleon’s “Nightdress”). It’s cool that they stay close to home for their placements, but when you hear Vince Staples kill one of their beats, you can’t help but hope that they start branching out more. - Vibe Magazine
