Thin Margins

Thin Margins is an indie rock band with humble roots and high aspirations. We've just released our "Passing Through" EP, available on all major music retailers. In light of the success of the EP, we're headed for out debut tour on August 11th -- Check out our page for details.

Thin Margins started in the summer of 2013, as I [Chipper] invited my brother [Drew] and new-found friend [Jake] to play an A&R showcase in Nashville TN [a show for which I was left empty handed as a result of my previous music group]. With just shy of a month of prep time, we wrote three songs and presented them rather emptily, lacking a bass player and the low end we needed for a tight sound. A week later, my best friend [Dylan] joined the band, and our cohesion became Thin Margins.

We didn't have a foot to stand on for booking, so we started hosting our own church and house shows, so as to build our brand. Within six months, we'd released an EP [Knock Knock], and we were afforded slots on some of the best stages in Central Arkansas, still only seventeen year olds [naive as could be]. 

As college approached, one thing led to another, and we entered a short hiatus. We were without a bass player, as Dylan left to pursue photography in California. We were scattered throughout NLR and Northwest Arkansas. We took some time to breathe, and hit the ground running summer of 2015, with a new EP [Passing Through] and a debut tour.
