Bio
POOL was formed in 2015 by guitarists Joe Gallo and Eric Sabshon, who met at Binghamton University. Originally, the band went by the name The Three 4s, after Eric's dorm room number, 444. The rest of the band was discovered individually and also by chance. In 2017, The Three 4s won Binghamton University's Battle of the Bands and opened for T-Pain and WALK THE MOON at the university's Spring Fling. They then released their first 4-song EP, Salivate. After a change in direction and bringing in two new members, bassist Rob Castriota and lead singer/drummer Sage Gibbons, the band decided it was time for a name change to something that reflected their new sound. With two lead singers in Allie Young and Sage, combined with musicians with very different musical backgrounds, the band decided on the name POOL, a name that reflected the variety of music each member brought to the table. In 2017, POOL once again won Binghamton's Battle of the Bands and this time, opened for Ty Dolla $ign and Mac Miller. The music describes how each member has their own individual tastes, which culminate to a driving, but grooving sound. Dueling vocals and guitars, combined with synths, fat bass and drums has ultimately define POOL's growing and diverse musical ability.
