Bio
The Sociables are an Alaskan Group, made up of 6 great
friends that have been entertaining audiences in the North for years. We
are led by Melissa Mitchell, who has a knack for inviting people to
join her on stage to play with her. Over the years, some musicians were
invited more often than others and... The Sociables.
Spiff was largely playing solo before joining forces
with Melissa, Tony was the bass player for the infamous Girdwood jam
band the Photonz, Aaron plays lead guitar for several bands, including
the Whipsaws, the Jack River Kings, and the Lucky Dogs. Rik has been
seen ripping guitar with the likes of Seth Freeman, and Tim has added
his steady thumps to the Alaskan music scene for years.
Summer time is tour time in Alaska, and the Sociables
can be found all around South Central AK playing at all of the best
festivals, and all the little joints favored by seasoned locals.
We are starting to look beyond the boundaries of the 49th State, so keep your eyes open in case we com to play near you.
