Bio
Having played music together since they were children, brothers Trevor and Scott formed a tight bond that shows in their playful vocal harmonies and collaborative writing process. With each bother bringing their own set of influences to the table, the Monties produce catchy, experimental tracks that show the fun loving, youthful exuberance these two have become known for. This cooperation allows the duo to blend orchestration and improvisation in a way that is often compared to The Who. Whether it’s through a face-melting guitar solo, an inspired drum fill, or raunchy shouting, the band acts as an outlet for the built up social frustration of the two multi-instrumentalists. Having gathered these elements together, the band’s iconic sound throws a dart that lands somewhere between alternative and indie rock to create their own new, yet slightly retro sound, that is as energetic in recordings as it is live. This is something they continue to emphasize in their newest song, Your Mother, which takes a nostalgic look at budding romance through the eyes of a father telling a story to his child.
While promoting their latest single, released last March, the band will be playing intimate, stripped down shows and taking their newest demos into their at home studio to create their next full length album.
