Bio
The Mackenzie O'Brien Band is fronted by lead singer Mackenzie O'Brien who has experienced growing success in Nashville where she writes and records. Mackenzie has landed 22 original songs on independent radio in the USA and Europe and is recognized by industry insiders as a talent. John Oates was one insider who expressed affection for her presence and voice! The band offers a mix of country and indie and is influenced by the newer younger Nashville sound with a splash of indie mixed in. The Band covers hits from Little Big Town to Maranda Lambert while mixing in songs from The Cure, Modern English and The Pixies. The band also plays original music by request or venue preference.
Band members are full time musicians committed to the cause. Despite forming just last year, the Mackenzie O'Brien Band has performed on WGN TV, and on the main stages at The Nashwood Fest, The Summer Solstice Fest, The Kenosha County Fair, The Walworth County Fair, as well as venues like The House of Music and Entertainment (HOME Bar), The Village of Orland Park, The Woodstock Opera House, and Niko's Red Mill Tavern. They have opened for several national acts and Mackenzie has entered into talks with record labels and signed a summer project deal with Merf Music Nashville. Mackenzie is also endorsed by Oregon based Breedlove Guitars.
