Bio
Emerging from the Philadelphia region, StaticQuo is a band that has over 15 years of experience on the local music scene. While formerly known as LD-50, the members of StaticQuo felt it was time for a change as the band expanded it's musical horizons. Well known for it's eclectic choice of crowd-pleasing cover songs, the band has recently recorded it's first album of all original music making for a diverse catalog of tunes that blend well with many venues and their audiences.
Formed in 1998, the members of StaticQuo come from diverse musical backgrounds. Chris Snyder (guitars, vocals), is heavily influenced by the progressive sound of the late 70's and early 80's. This is most evident in his guitar playing where he can take the simplest riff and turn it into sheer guitar wizardry. Mike McLatchy (drums), who has been playing with Chris for years, began drumming at a young age and is best known for his work with the 90's touring band, Krackamack. Matt Rohlf (bass, vocals), influenced by a wide range of musical styles, brings his years of experience on the Pittsburgh music scene to the band. Rounding out the sound of StaticQuo is Roseanne Schneider (keyboards, vocals), who as a classically trained pianist, provides a unique feel to the band.
In the time that StaticQuo has been together, they have drawn acclaim as one of the best local bands. They are currently playing out at many venues in the area, and are best known for their energetic live performances.
