"Sam Peezy - Electronica 1.0 Genesis"

Sam Peezy has decided to go back in the booth and flex his pin once again on us. Following his current motif electronica, this effort is laced with synth heavy funk with a take them to church vibe. Sam cadence is somewhere between rapper and a gospel preacher and his raw experimentation reminds me a lot of Count Bass D of Nashville i.e. another talented producer/rapper that is highly underrated. Go out and support this joint and give your ears a refresher from the monotony on the radio and now streams….ENJOY - Bad Magics

"Sam Peezy - Electronica v0.5 - The Prequel"

Sam Peezy has been a top flight producer on the southeastern hip-hop, R&B, Soul and gospel scene for a long time and in this humble writers opinion he has done some legendary work. I recently posted his step back into the hip-hop arena with the Peezy vespers which was a node to the classic hip-hop vibe that brought him in the game. Well this time around he is blessing us with a largely instrumental effort that is dripping with soul and funk. If you are a fan of the new age funksters like Dam funk you will probably enjoy “Electronica V.0.5.). I feel like this is naturally Sam’s wheel house because he has been providing dope tracks for everyone for years, so he effortlessly drops a this well orchestrated funky gem. - Magicmen

"Sam Peezy Electronica v0.5 Meets Every Expectation"

Forrest Gump once said that “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get.” Well, actually that’s not true. You do know that whatever is inside is going to be chocolate and most of the time, its going to be good. A Sam Peezy album is just like that box of chocolates. You don’t know if it’s filled with Hip Hop, RnB, or instrumentals. But, you do know that it is music and it is going to be good.

Super-producer, Sam Peezy, just released his latest project and addition to his Electronica series, Electronica v.05-The Prequel to rave reviews. There are 8 tracks and each carries an uniqueness about them. This record is very soul and funk influenced. Listening to songs like “Everybody Wants A Piece” and “The Fruit Is Nasty,” makes you feel that Morris Day is going to slide onto the track any minute now. Other smooth songs like “I Can’t Get High” and “Watching The Green Line” is reminiscent of Grover Washington.

This album continues to speak volumes about Sam Peezy’s versatility. He is often busy working with artists around the country. But, if you are an artist needing a producer with substance, you may need to hit him up. Your next hit just may be in the mind of Sam Peezy. - AfroEduc8or

Bio

Birthed from the very soul of the planet ELECTRONICA, Sam Peezy and The Minor 11th’s can be called a “futuristic throwback.” “Futuristic” in that the band is always on the cutting edge of music, and “throwback” in that they stay true to the funk that was made before them. Headed by underground producing legend Sam Peezy, the band is a perfect merging of styles and personalities. With the near mastery of all things bass by James Isler, the youthful enthusiasm paired with the virtuosity of Trevor Tillman and his trusty talk-box, and the liquid, yet rock-solid grooves of Destiny Harris, the sound of the Minor 11ths is much like its moniker: a merging of strikingly different qualities that add to make a harmonic whole, with just enough dissonance to keep the listener on their toes. The band was formed in early 2016 by Sam Peezy. After a stint with a major label, Peezy would decide to return to his own musical roots, having played in bands since he was 16. After meeting James Isler at church, it would be the leanings of Isler that convinced Peezy that he could indeed create the original sound, while paying tribute to the funk, that he had been searching for for years. WIth his trusty sidekick Destiny Harris, who also played at church with Isler and Peezy, the foundation was set. Adding in the uber talented Tillman would be the icing on the cake. The sound can be best heard on Peezy’s album “Electronica v1.0 - Genesis” on the songs “Lil’ Mama” and “Opus Number One (You Don’t Know).” Be sure to follow the band’s instagram and twitter for updates on shows and touring. Look for the “Samdi Gras Experience” tour coming to a town near you beginning this Summer 2016.
