Brenda was also acting in Hollywood during her Epic Records success. She signed with the Screen Actors Guild after getting her first role on the television series Bonanza. A small part for a little girl with a big heart. Brenda was well known for singing at fund raisers throughout the Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley area. Movies, commercials, modeling and other television followed.

'Sunshine' (Brenda Smith Cole) and her band Shine! Shine!! Shine!!! play original songs blended with songs everyone knows and loves. Her band of experienced professionals will leave you feeling good and wanting more.
Brenda has experience performing on American and European stages, but especially enjoys singing for benefits and good causes. She has a big heart and a happy, gentle spirit.
Brenda performs with the sincerity of Vince Gill, Alison Krauss and Dolly Parton on ballads, the energy of Kelly Clarkson,Taylor Swift and Reba McEntire on up tempo, and the dynamics of Jason Crabb, Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood on her gospel songs.
Brenda's voice is like a breath of fresh air, smooth and polished with a child-like innocence. It's angelic at times but she also sings with powerful conviction and confidence that can raise the hair on your arms to dance. Her voice is ageless and timeless and through the years her songs have always soothed the listener into a feeling of being loved and comforted by her warm alto tones.

Brenda enjoys singing with her acoustic guitar and doing television shows with her track tapes of original recordings. This diversity allows Sunshine to perform her music ministry for children, hospitals and prisons. Her band Shine! Shine!! Shine!!! is also available for churches, fairs, festivals, revivals, concerts and house parties. Band members can include guitar, bass and drums, and also can include keys, harmonica, fiddle and background singers.
Brenda has written most of the music on her cd's. Her 'Country Lover' cd garnered airplay all over the world, Billboard success and numerous awards. Her gospel music is destined to achieve highly acclaimed success, as she is spiritually anointed and truly gifted by God.
Brenda can perform solo or with a band. Her solo show is suited to a listening audience. In an intimate setting she can share stories and experiences that always make for an uplifting evening.
Brenda Smith worked with legendary record producer Billy Sherrill at age 13 and also an actress and model in Hollywood. While on Epic Records, she released, There Is A Place by Sharon Rucker and R.S. Kinky Friedman, string arrangement by Glenn Spreen. A very sweet country love song with a pop flair. Its about love that never dies, like Romeo and Juliet. Brenda sang this with a polished maturity beyond her years. Billy recognized Brendas writing talent and produced her first original recording called Midnight Flight To Frisco, strings arranged by Bergen White. Brenda co-wrote this with Geno Havens, a casting director from Hollywood. The string arrangement adds to the feeling of taking off in an airplane.
She'll get you standing, clapping and singing along too. Her optimistic outlook is inspiring. She has big dreams and a big heart. She is aways looking at the brighter side. That's why she is 'Sunshine'.
