Bio

“Wood, wire, and songs that are a little bit country and a little bit rock ‘n’ roll!”

Since their inception in 2010, the Shelby County Sinners have gone from doing occasional shows to being a sought-after live act. Their style of music draws in listeners, often compared to the early sound of Memphis-influenced Rock and Roll. Their independently released EP, “6,” fully captured the band’s live act at the time and highlighted the percussive interplay between singer/songwriter Shelby Kelley’s acoustic rhythm guitar and Morrison Foster’s attack on the upright bass. Eric Grimmitt’s lead guitar brings the edge and color.
During that time, the band moved from opening slots for national touring bands to playing full-capacity shows at venues in and around the Indianapolis area, building a solid fan base of supporters along the way.
In 2018, They released their first full-length effort, “Whole Damn World’s Gone Crazy,” introducing songs with a broader sound range and more of the smart songwriting that has defined the band from the start. After a couple more years of playing shows and writing more songs, they went to Sun Studio in Memphis to record 2024’s “Live at Sun Studio.” Their second full-length effort saw the addition of Hunter Kelley on drums, helping round out the sound and taking the band in a more straight-ahead Rock and Roll direction. The band continues to write and play live.
