Shaw Squared is an Urban Neo-Soul and R&B duo comprised of multi -instrumentalist and vocalist Frank Shaw, featured on bass guitar, and his wife, vocalist and trumpeter Shayla Shaw. Frank, originally from Tulsa, OK, gravitated to Memphis TN, merging with the Memphis music scene and eventually meeting fellow musician, Shayla Shaw. As members of several mutual bands, the two developed a chemistry on and off stage that eventually led to marriage and the birth of their band. The Shaw’s share similar passions in creating music and collaborating. Their passions poured over into other areas of life as they were often seen working on projects together by friends and associates, attributing them the nick-name Shaw Squared.
