Sarah Packiam

Born and raised in Ireland, Sarah began writing songs at the age of 12. She began singing professionally at 13 and by 14 she had established herself as a singer-songwriter, winning the National 2FM song contest in 1997. She also represented Ireland in The Song Contest for Young People in Europe (S.C.Y.P.E.) where she took second place. Several Live TV performances followed and she signed a development with EMI Ireland before she turned 15.

Her mother is Irish and her father is a blues musician from India who inspired her with his musical influence.  She combines mandolin, traditional Irish instruments and tablas to create beautiful backdrops for her extremely catchy alternative/pop melodies.

At the age of 18 Sarah and her family moved to Spain where she performed regularly in bars and nightclubs in the family band. She was discovered and sent to Miami by Jon Secada and was taken under his wing, co writing and being produced by Tim Mitchell. In 2009 Sarah was part of Shakira's promo tour singing background vocals and playing banjo.

Sarah's first Independent CD "One for two" was released in February 2012 and her EP "Dream" was released in May 2013. Both are available online on iTunes, Spotify and Pandora.

In 2014 her song "Silly Little Love Songs" came 3rd in the International Song Contest (ISC) , and she opened with her band for Smashmouth and Jason Mraz at the Sunfest Festival. Also In 2014 she sang with Ricky Martin, Carole King, Gloria Estefan, Queen Latifah and other artists at the Estefan's Charity event "The Power of Love Gala" in Las Vegas. 

She is currently recording her third studio album at Afonico Studios Miami. Release date is expected for the beginning of 2015.
