He was born Justin Ortiz In Brooklyn, New York 1988 and was raised in Southern Westchester, where he currently resides. Growing up with two parents from New York City, he was brought up with a deep love for Hip-Hop Music. Some of his favorite artist like, Eric B., Rakim Grandmaster Flash to Big Pun and Eminem. He collected and studied the works of his favorite artists. Jotting down and reciting the lyrics alongside them on his favorite albums. By doing this habitually he mastered the art of rhymes. Starting with a karaoke machine and instrumental CDs. He began creating music at the age of 7 writing lyrics was his passion. In elementary school it was his intellect, witty backtalk and constant questioning the authority of school superiors earned him the name "Quiz" which has stuck with him through the years. Fast forward 22yrs and you can see the passion of creating music has become his life purpose. After years of honing his skills, and bouncing around from job to job “Quiz" was fed up with the 9 to 5 lifestyle and decided to follow his dreams and do what he does best, and it was that day that"Quiz" passed on, only to be reborn as "QuizDaLawd".
