Proyecto Insomnio

Proyecto Insomnio, is an emerging band with members of a long musical career, they are quickly putting themselves on the popularity charts internationally. With just 7 months of having released their first double album, Project Insomnio already has more than 32,500 followers on Facebook, together their videos have been seen more than a million times since June 2018, have recently been nominated by the Recording Academy, Latin Grammys as Best Tejano Album 2018. With only 3 months since its debut! Being the only Mexican band representing this genre at the Latin Grammy’s. Its peculiar musical style, a fusion of rhythms with Tejano, has put Proyecto Insomnio as a versatile band, tasteful, with excellent compositions, intelligent lyrics and its becoming one of the favorite bands of many people very quickly, from Canada to South America and everywhere in between as well as Europe!

Proyecto Insomnio was born in the city of La Paz, B.C.S. Mexico on Dec 17, 2017, by Mike Armenta, Arnoldo Hirales and José Alberto Payén, (we are now opening our new office in Austin Texas). The style of this Project is the fusion of musical genres such as Reggae, Rock, Ska, Rock Steady, Jazz, Salsa, Trapp, EDM and Cumbia Norteña with Norteño Tejano. Our musical purpose is to bring the people who like both one genre and another in the same inclusive musical concept and by doing so, expand our reach and not generalize our musical concept to a single genre, whether it is Tejano or Rock. Through these months we have discovered the great acceptance of the public for our fusion and the curiosity of the public to hear something new and different.
