From a post apocalyptic New York Dystopia, Pleasure Factory was conceived. Through lived experience it encapsulates the sound of scurrying rats, undercover cops and schizophrenic bypassers. They interweave syncopated drums, boisterous synths, distorted guitars and manipulated samples into a sonic quilt, blurring the lines of many genres such as the Experimental Underground, Punk Rock, New York Club/Ambient, and improvised music. All solo artists in their own right, the trio assembled to craft a soundscape that mirrors the zeitgeist of the times - creating a safe haven for undesirables and savants alike. Where inflation, gentrification, corruption and climate change are at a record high, Pleasure Factory speaks to a broken society.
