"Rock Star Dreams: The Spotlight (Interview 2016)"

On the single Free Shirt: "It's catchy. I think you'll really dig this song. It's gonna be one of those summer anthems you are playing at parties and bumping in your car all year long!"

On the single Free Shirt continued: "Really cool track. One of those songs that gots a really great melody, really catchy hook, and the lyrics are kind of funny and tongue and cheek. One of those songs that could potentially catch fire!"

On PeanutGallery style: Blending a lot of cool styles there. Not just pop, hip hop, and electronic modern music. Kinda have a little eighties influence and new wave."

On PeanutGallery future: "Electronic pop hip hop three piece. Be sure to be on the lookout for these guys, solid emerging artists out of the southwest." - Keegan Pitz

"SA Current "San Antonio Music Awards 2015 PeanutGallery Best New Band""

Combining boom-bap traditionalism with the wordy hooks of Childish Gambino; Acid Rap beats with Anthony Kiedis cadences; Future's auto-tune textures with — I think you get the picture. Since their first show in April, SA hip-pop trio PeanutGallery has gathered all its influences in the cheap seats and spat them back, sometimes half-digested, at their growing audiences. So far, PeanutGallery's greatest talent is their immense positivity, warm and promising like the morning's first cup of coffee. Once the trio figures out which sonic map to follow, pay attention to the words coming from the PeanutGallery. - Matt Stieb

"Rowdy Radio Presents Sol Fest (2015)"

This trio makes the much coveted first listing on the SolFest flyer. You know, because how visible you are on a bill is indicative of your buzzworthiness, as every festival expert these days knows, amiright? Let’s explore why!

Apparently these guys have been around for the past 8 years in a number of different formations (quartet, trio, duo, and back to trio) and are influenced by, what seems, a wide range of artists, eras, and styles. I’m interested to see what they do on stage! - Musically Modern Maven

"Sol Fest First Look: PeanutGallery (2015)"

As we get closer to Sol Fest, lets take another look at one of the performers. PeanutGallery

PeanutGallery (yes it's one word) is a San Antonio based band. They started as a quartet, fell down to a trio, trimmed to a duo, but are now back as a trio. Though they idolize sounds from the 80s, they admire modern rap/hip-hop artist such as Eminem, OutKast, and Kanye West. They also love anything danceable. You can hear all the different influences in PeanutGallery's music after a couple listens, and because of their vast amount of influences, it's hard to categorize their genre of music.

Raul Garcia and Matthew Hall have stuck with the band throughout it's eight year history. They write their own original lyrics and instrument compositions, which is why they have such a unique sound. Close friend and collaborator Danny Garcia lent his vocals and multi-instrumental talent in recording sessions on feature works, and eventually became a permanent band member late in 2013. It was then that an idea was formed and the rest is history. - Jarren Murillo

Bio

PeanutGallery was pleasantly surprised when their first show was the headlining spot of the 2015 Sol Fest Music Festival, but this trio of young musicians has been creating hype long before their 2015 debut. Formed in their senior year of high school, PeanutGallery began when producer Raul Garcia showed frontman Matthew Hall some instrumentals he had created. This moment sparked the fire that led to the two writing and recording their own music. The duo was predominately hip hop until late 2012 when the two decided to add vocalist Danny Garcia, which provided them with versatility in their music. Upon this addition, the trio PeanutGallery solidified their sound of danceable story telling with pop instrumentals, catchy hooks, and rap verses. More recently, PeanutGallery received the award for "Best New Band" at the 2015 San Antonio Music Awards and although PeanutGallery is pleased with their growth, the trio aspires to have a positive impact on the world through their music. PeanutGallery idolizes artists such as OutKast, Kanye West, Coldplay, and Britney Spears and one day hopes to create and perform music on the level of these legends.
