Bio
The story of Night class starts in 2015, with brothers Sean (guitar) and Paul Jesse (drums). Originally known as “The Politiks”, the group changed their name in 2017. Sean had been skipping his nighttime literature class to practice with the band, and thought it fitting that the band should be called Night Class.The band started playing in the basement in the college town of Lawrence, Kansas. The Jesse brothers met Lane Hornback (bass, guitar), and Grant Lewis (guitar) when Sean, Lane, and Grant were Freshmen at The University of Kansas, and while Paul was in High School. Lewis and Hornback joined Night Class in early 2018. Sean decided to drop out of school to focus on the groups growth, and joined his brother Paul in a townhouse to work on recording their first full album. Sean and Paul would continually go over to Lane and Grant’s house to practice, experiment, and refine the sound of their recordings. The band started playing shows around town, in dingy bars and rowdy house parties. In August 2018, the band self-released their debut album, Dusk to Dawn. The band is continually gaining a following around the midwest and is making waves in the worldwide indie scene. The boys still reside in Lawrence, KS, trying to pop the bubble.
