Mike Kaufman is a songwriter, singer and fingerstyle guitarist. He grew up listening to the Beatles, but discovered folk music as a teenager. John Hartford, Richie Havens, Gordon Lightfoot, Judy Collins, Joni Mitchell, Steve Goodman, David Wilcox, James Taylor, Livingston Taylor, Bill Staines and Paul Simon are all influences.
Mike is primarily known as a fingerstyle guitarist, encompassing jazz harmonies and classical technique in his playing.
A seasoned and engaging performer, Mike has played in concert halls, coffee houses, churches, bars, living rooms, back yards and front porches.
