Bio
The duo known as TGR – Melo and Breeze -- came to music on their own terms. Melo started making music because his friends did. He wasn’t confident in his abilities at first, but eventually found his niche – somewhere between Ludacris and Wale. Breeze had always been a fan of music, and first formed a group with some high school friends. People said they had a great sound, and his love for creating deepened. A lot of today’s rap music revels in drug culture, and features lyrics that are barely comprehensible. TGR’s music is clearly heard, visualized, and understood. There is meaning in their message, and every song they make is distinct. They can write and rap to any beat, and their style transcends genres. They are principled artists who aren’t afraid to share their emotions and reflect on life once they step into the booth. When writing, Breeze says the duo allows beats and vibes to guide them. TGR is currently working on a EP, Lessons. Breeze’s favorite song from the project - “Hustle” – with featured artist Campaign. It reminds him of their well-worn hit, “10-4,” which still goes on the road nearly a year its release thanks to the magic Melo worked on the hook.
