Bio
Mark Ivanitch has been writing songs ever since he stole his brothers acoustic guitar in high school. A lover of 60s pop, 70s glam rock, and 80s underground, Mark strives for sugary-sweet melodies, left-of-center yet universal lyrics, and creative sounds in his writing and recording.
Mark spent most of the 90s fronting the indie rock band, Gravitys Pull, playing in countless dives and major clubs alike. A near decade of touring allowed Mark to hone his live performances while opening for such notable acts as The Dave Matthews Band, Hootie & the Blowfish, Superdrag, Morphine, and Materialissue to name a few.
After Gravity's Pull disbanded, Mark continued recording with his new band, Misfit Kid, which included his two brothers, Mike (Drummer - Gravity's Pull) and Nick (The Bassist - Gravity's Pull), plus special guests Mike Garrigan (Collapsis), Dale Spencer (Sixpence None The Richer), and Rosalie Gasperino (vocalist).
Mark is currently recording and performing as a solo artist. He recently released his first EP of original songs called All Good Deeds.
