PERFORMER INFO
Reji Lefluer (songwriter, guitar, vocals) is a multi-talented artist with an original and addictive brand of Soul Rock.
Lefluer began his professional career playing piano and guitar around his hometown of Seattle, Washington in the early nineties. Coming from a musical family he was influenced at an early age by his parents taste in music from Gospel, Blues, Rock and Soul to Classical. At the age of 14 he wrote his first song and within a year began writing original compositions for local artists. He soon grew his own fanbase and opened for the Grammy Award-winning hip hop trio Naughty By Nature in Seattles Key Arena.
In the late nineties, Reji began traveling to broaden his horizons and study languages as well as traditional and world music. He ended up in Asia and while living in Jakarta, Indonesia started a local band and enjoyed a successful career playing at concert venues and events throughout the country including the Bale, JakJazz and Java Jazz Festivals.
Upon returning to the US in 2010, he released his debut album Crystal Ball and performed his song Champion with Matt Dr. Fink of Prince & the Revolution at Neumos in Seattle. In early 2013 Lefluer moved to Austin, TX where his band won the battle of the bands competition at the Flamingo Cantina.
Reji recently moved back to Seattle to reform his band and promote his newest CD "Gypsy Creole".
