"Lavender Orange: Well Done!"

Mixing the best elements of neo-psychedelic and nuggets-led garage rock, this is the kind of passion that made me want to go to shows in the first place, well done. -Lonely Vagabond - Lonely Vagabond Blog.

Bio

Lavender Orange formed in early 2010.  Rehearsed for a month and played Elvis Monday.  Silver Dollar,  Rancho Relaxo, Sneaky Dees,  The Drake,  Lee's Palace,  and The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern are some of the places L.O. have performed in Toronto.  A bunch of out of town shows,  but not enough.  We are still trying to convince folks that we are good;  The Beatles did not explode immediately either.  L.O has never said no to a benefit show;  GMO Protest 2013 on Parliament is the biggest so far.  Lavender Orange could release an album in 2014.  L.O. is an eclectic rock band with the ability of appealing to a wide variation of music lovers.  Our motto is better shows,  not needless ones.  We rehearse and write together regularly.  Sometimes,  choosing to take one or two months from playing shows to develop new material.  It is interesting to balance playing shows in ones home town.  Can't play too many...  L.O. became a regularly appearing band at The Bradstock Music Festival in 2013.  Band front man,  Spike Love started the annual John Lennon Birthday Party Show in October 2013,  designed to be a celebration of life and art.  The first event consisted of Lavender Orange,  Burlesque,  and Film.  L.O. has received thumbs up from Loneley Vagabond,  Jose Contreras,  and Derek Westmorland.  We play music because it's natural for us,  it makes us happy.  We also have messages to convey to people;  Animal Rights,  Protecting Our Planet,  Marijuana/Hemp Reform,  are high on our list !  The vision of making a positive difference appeals to us.  After playing a few shows towards the end of 2013,  we decided on hitting writing/rehearsal mode.  Our last appearance was January 8th 2014,  at The Horseshoe Tavern.  Next round of shows to commence in late March 2014.  The Band will have a track on the upcoming By Divine Right Tribute Release.  We are somewhat of an Art Rock Band that creates and lives for music.  We continue to experiment...

Big Huge Peace
