Currently based in Bloomington, IN, Kacie Swierk is a musician, singer and songwriter. Mixed between folk, roots, and blues, Swierk strives for authenticity in both lyricism and composition. Her self-produced, debut album -- This Is Water -- released June 10th, 2017.
Though a life-long instrumentalist, Swierk was pushed to sing by a collegiate bandmate at 18 years old. Still shy in her voice, she began to latch onto the freedom found in her striking tone. A year later, in 2015, she unexpectedly moved across the country for medical treatment. Among the intensity of daily IVs and doctor appointments, her journey as a songwriter suddenly began as innate need for release.
Now returned to the midwest, Swierk couples her studies at Indiana University with continued touring, performing, and craft development.
