Born in Waco, Texas I have the country in my background, we would go out to my granddad's land and learn to shoot a red ryder. Coming from Texas, country music is part of our culture. Growing up I'd always listen to it, and something about the acoustic guitar, the flow, and lifestyle in the songs, I just seemed to latch on to it. My grandad owned some guitars, and one day I just picked one up and never seeming, wanting to set it down. Country to me is more than just vocalized ballads and dance-tunes, with guitars, or a fiddle; it's not that simple. I listen and write country because not only is it a passion of mine, but it is a part of me, the love, the connection, it all is brought to the motivation of not just wanting to be heard, but telling the stories I've lived through.
