Milwaukee’s Isreal Perez at the young age of 24 already shows an understanding and versatility of the arts that we don’t see often these days. Perez houses the ability to carry a track using his voice but can also flow with the beat. Perez’ mission is rooted in hope, never fame or clout, “I drop gems of hope from an authentic place.” Perez states, “I want people to enjoy what they hear and then reflect on it later on.” Isreal Perez provides a unique and positive experience for the listener, going beyond the music to get his point across. In dropping his debut album in 2021 Perez has laid the groundwork, next up is the takeover.


“The first music I remember listening to was Michael Jackson.” Isreal recalls, “I remember having a VHS of his performance in 2001 and I memorized not only the songs, but the dance moves and mannerisms.” Growing up Isreal loved R&B, meanwhile his father was playing a lot of hip-hip from Brooklyn, reggaeton and salsa. It wasn’t until Kanye West released “Graduation” that Isreal fell in love with hip-hop and sites the difference in sound as to what attracted him to the album. “I took that same route of experimenting with different sounds and making every project a unique experience from those moments,” Isreal says. Isreal’s love for the arts would shine through all his music as no one track sounds the same from the Milwaukee artist.
