Press and Testimonials:
Tampa-based three piece progressive metal act Humanity Gone has seemingly been shot out of a cannon and have hit the ground running with their debut album "The Seven Deadly Sins", out January 16th, 2021 wherever you buy your digital music. The band formed in early 2020 and began putting together the material which would become their debut release, a full length concept record written around the theme of the seven deadly sins. A pretty ambitious project for a new band, and something even more seasoned bands never dare to attempt. Humanity Gone are Angelo Rivera, who fills the rather unusual role of drummer and lead singer. The band's guitarist Thelmo Rego plays some tasty riffs and fairly complex solos. Rounding out the trio is Matt Howard, who's bass locks it all in while simultaneously creating a melody and atmosphere all his own.
Upon my first listen to "The Seven Deadly Sins" I was more than impressed with these musicians and I'm here to tell you that the guys in Humanity Gone sound like they've been together for many years. What I hear from them are elements of Tool, Megadeth, P.O.D. and early Metallica, while at the same time sounding nothing like those bands. They bring equal doses of heavy and melody, with an interesting combination of both simple and complex song structures that create a truly interesting soundscape. Syncopated rhythms and dark, haunting undertones filled my speakers and I couldn't get enough!
I generally break down my reviews by my favorite songs but with concept albums I feel it's best to rate the work as a whole piece of art. "The Seven Deadly Sins" concept is interesting and the writing is a real strong aspect of this band. Humanity Gone displays a maturity that more seasoned bands often lack, and the musicianship of a band well beyond their experience as a trio. These guys are professionals and the hard work and talent shine brightly on "The Seven Deadly Sins". If you want a truly awesome metal album to start 2021 off on the right foot I highly recommend you check out this new release from Humanity Gone. These guys are fantastic and I guarantee you won't regret grabbing a copy.

This is a brilliant concept album by a brand new three piece Prog Metal band based in Tampa Florida. The concept is the seven deadly sins. Each song is about each of the deadly sins and the emotion is captured so well in the tracks. The singer has a great voice and the instruments sound massive and powerful. The production is very good for an independent artist who recorded the album themselves. The songs are not only complex and long, but have a very catchy aspect to them as well. There is something here for everyone. You will not regret listening to this one.

Bio
Humanity Gone is a three-piece progressive metal band originating from Tampa, FL. Their hallmark style is heavy and melodic, with complexity that reveals new details with every listen. They accomplish this by building soundscapes using progressive elements such as odd time signatures, expansive instrumental sections, and an interplay between instruments. Lyrically, they conceptualize the human experience, focusing on the internal struggle within and the external chaos beyond individual control. Uniquely, their drummer, Angelo Rivera, is also the lead singer. Thelmo Rego, the band’s sole guitarist, brings crushing riffs and complex solos, while retaining a melodic ambience. Matt Howard, the bass player, ties everything together with his powerful bass tones, locking in with the drum rhythms while simultaneously creating melody and atmosphere all his own.
The band formed in early 2020, and began rehearsing, writing, and preparing the material which would become their debut album, a very ambitious and progressive full length concept record written around the theme of the seven deadly sins. They not only wrote the album but also self-produced and self-released it on January 16th, 2021.
