After collaborating with rising DMV artists Jay IDK and Joey Green for her Canis Major-produced “Nagasaki Nuke”remix, Havana Seoul returns with a 6-track EP entitled, SeoulSZN. The project is just as much of an experience for listeners as it was for Havana Seoul during the creation of every song. In the intro video that is available upon downloadof the EP, Havana says:
“This past year has been a time of growth for me and consequently the brand that I’m crafting, Havana Seoul. With that said I’ve been doing a lot of experimenting with my sound. SeoulSZN is what that exploration sounds like. It’s summer car ride, pre-game music. It’s what it feels like doing 95 on I-95….”
This EP is truly a unique body of work that captures the artistry of Havana Seoul. Effortlessly juxtaposing party anthems like the iLoveMakonnen-inspired “Vintage” and Kam DeLa’s electronic “Nagasaki Nuke switchUP” with candid raps about homelessness in D.C. and racial inequality, Havana Seoul is charismatic and conscious on SeoulSZN.

I’m the type of hip-hop fan that is always looking for a different kind of talent and sound, and I’m finding more and more than female emcees are often times a great source of refreshing flavor when it comes to music.
DMV artist Havana Seoul delivers a poetic new project in the form of SeoulSZN, a six-track EP that acts as a great introduction to her if you were previously unfamiliar with her work. It’s got some colorful production that fits right in with her colorful lyrics, and it all comes together for a real nice listen.

DMV native and up-and-coming emcee Havana Seoul kicks off SeoulSZN with the release of a brand new EP.
An exploration of her experimentation with her sound, Havana likened the project to "summer car ride, pre-game music. It's what it feels like doing 95 on I-95."
The EP totals 6 tracks, and is preceded by Booth-approved lead single "Nagasaki Nuke (Remix)." Features include Jay IDK, Joey Green and Kam DeLa Coopsta VII, and the latter also contributes production in addition to Canis Major, ITZSPVCEMAN, L'orbeat and Saint James.

Captivating female emcees in the mainstream music scene are tough to come by. At the forefront of the movement you have Nicki Minaj, followed by artists such as Azealia Banks, Rapsody and Little Simz. If you dig a little deeper into the underground scene you’ll find DMV area’s hidden gem Havana Seoul.
Seoul follows up her hit “Nagasaki Nuke Remix” with a 6 track EP called SeoulSZN. At only 6 songs in total, SeoulSNZ touches on powerful topics such as homelessness and racial equality.

DMV artist Havana Seoul recently shared her 6-track SeoulSZN EP, but now she is back to push one of the more catchy gems on the project, “Vintage.” Truly a stand-out cut on SeoulSZN (outside of the Jay IDK & Joey Green assisted “Nagasaki Nuke” remix), “Vintage” is a carefree anthem that celebrates not doing a drug that’s become mainstream in Hip-Hop over the last year. Though, after listening to this bouncy song, you can tell Havana is far from a saint.
Inspired by iLoveMakonnen, the ITZSPVCEMAN-produced track is perhaps just as addicting as any drug, with some trippy vibes courtesy of snippets from Alice in Wonderland. Make sure you give Havana a follow on Twitter and check out the entire SeoulSZN project! - New Sick Music
