"Kiss and Tell at PJ's Pub"

I've seen these guys numerous times before, but not only that I've known the guys and had the pleasure of watching them in and out of multiple bands for years, and after that performance it seems they've finally found where they belong. It was quite clear when Kiss and Tell took the stage that they have a great following in Manhattan and they show up to party with Kiss and Tell every chance that they get. They set the stage early with two very obvious fan favorites that had the crowd going wild. Leading the way through the show was lead vocalist and guitarist Chase Petersen controlling the tempo of the whole show by showing true frontman status and dedication to not only playing great music but putting on the best show possible through his banter with the crowd, his energy in the guitar and behind the mic, and with his aggressive screams in combination with the melodic harmonies provided by guitarist Jonathen Cole whose aggressive, entertaining, and passionate guitar playing prove to be a highlight of the band by flying around the stage and captivating the audience constantly through the show, and drummer Jonny Welch who makes up for the lack of a bass player by completely keeping the general rhythm of the entire band in sync with his incredible control over his bass pedal ability and his drums as a whole, while entertaing the crowd through his singing and his appearance of the muppets Animal who had a steroid and crack cocktail before taking the stage. And the most unique quality of the band is Jason Adams on keys and synth who gives this group of guys an advantage of melodies that other bands lack, is something that make his presence and genius a key to success for Kiss and Tell. As a whole with their original songs, their hugely histarical and brilliant covers, and the legendary 80's medley that anyone who has been to a Kiss and Tell show will have a hard time not singing along to or forgetting, was nothing less than pure entertainment and fun in every aspect that it possibly could be. I see nothing but bright lights and brighter futures for this band, if they can fill they void of the missing bass player (they still completely rock without one lets not forget). With the amount of dedication i know these guys are capable of and the love they have for music the only thing that can stop them, is themselves. I would recommend seeing these guys anytime you get the chance, if you do you will truly find out that in fact Kiss and Tell does indeed like to party.

Bio

Hailing from Kansas City, Kansas, GET BUSY LIVING first jumped on the pop punk music scene in 2008 as KISS AND TELL and toured for a few years before changing up their line up and becoming GET BUSY LIVING in 2011. Since then, they have put out two EPs on their own—‘Don’t Back Down’ and ‘All Good Memories Fade’—with their signature sound comparable to Four Year Strong, Mayday Parade, and New Found Glory.

With a dedicated, do-it-yourself attitude, lead vocalist/guitarist Chase Petersen, guitarist/vocalist Brandon Magaha, drummer/vocalist Jonny Welch, and bassist/vocalist Jeffrey Hilty continue to play shows across the Midwest. Their high energy performances have landed them Red Gorilla events at South By Southwest in Austin, TX two years in a row, and they have opened up for bands like The Color Morale and Glamour of the Kill.

In 2014, their song ‘Revolution Summer’ was featured on a two-minute slot on the NASCAR Network promoting the Talladega races, and they had the opportunity to open up for Avril Lavigne and The Backstreet Boys in Kansas City. GET BUSY LIVING continues to move forward with determination and will be recording their first full-length album in the fall at Standby Records’ studio and are hoping to tour full-time in 2015.

Reviews

“…a fantastic representation of today’s power pop genre. Their sound took the audience back to days when bands like Four Year Strong and Mayday Parade ruled the scene. Their high energy stage presence and electrified ballads perked up Aggie Central Station (Manhattan, KS)... Their breakdowns were honest and well placed, holding true to the pop punk formula” (The Collegian - Manhattan, KS).

“…powerhouse of pop punk energy…with roaring guitars and insane drums round out a high energy rock shop of awesome.” (The Hype Weekly)
