Fragrance of Yah is the Queen of American Roots Music! She infuses jazz, reggae, soul, and inspirational music to usher in the spirits of peace, love, and harmony!
Her lyrical intention is to raise the vibrations of those in the audience. Her sets include original music with a pungent message. Spreading the "Fragrance of Yah (Love)" with every lyric, melody, and breath means never stop dreaming, pushing, stretching, growing, and reaching for better!
With 2 EPs, 2 Albums, and 4 singles under her belt she is building quite a brand for herself and her businesses. She owns and runs an independent label called Fragrance of YAH Records, LLC; a publishing company called Perfumed Publishing, LLC; a homeschool called International P.R.E.P. Yeshiva; a production company which produces a showcase, a catalogue magazine, a cafe event, and educational programming; and an African clothing boutique.
She is a Voting Member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, best known for the Grammy Awards. She has been featured in Billboard Magazine. She has received invitations to the 61st and 62nd Grammy Awards and a Nomination for Female Jazz Vocalist in the 5th Annual Jazz Buffalo Poll. She is also nominated for 5 Independent Music Awards!
