Hometown heroes FOXY MOJO are on the fast track to success. From playing numerous shows in El Paso, having their music video played on MTV2, and being a beloved band nationwide and in the UK, audiences are mesmerized by their mojo.
A duo of brothers, Tristian London (Singer/Composer/Rhythm Guitarist), and Eric Ericson (lead guitarist) comprised the beginning of the band back in 2011. While still in Eastwood High School at only 17 and 18-years-old, the boys completely owned their school’s Battle of the Band competitions and quickly began working on an EP in January of 2012.With their rapid success, the boys struggled with how to handle certain situations of the industry and life. Thus, the first formation of FOXY MOJO ended. By September 2014, the boys were ready to give the rock dream another try. With more knowledge of how to break into the industry, the brothers began to work on an unfinished song (C’Mon C’Mon) and their debut album “Here They Come,” even without the rest of the members.
From the ages of 17 to 20 years old, Tristan and Eric rocked on drums, keys, bass and every other instrument they needed to compile numerous songs which later became their debut album. Tristan Torres (Drums) and Alex Rodriquez (Bassist) would come in later to join the band and begin experiencing the power of the mojo. This homegrown Alternative Rock band has been busy rocking at numerous events including 920 Fest, Crash Fest, and The El Paso Downtown Street Fest. Their talent is being recognized not only in El Paso but also in the UK by LIVAMP, a website that highlights and helps fund musicians. Some big things are happening in the fall for FOXY MOJO. They will be performing at Tricky Falls, Shroom Boom, and at the Ghoulish Heroes, Monsters, and Villains Rockfest at the El Paso County Coliseum.
The humble members are proud to highlight their hometown, “We strive to be more than just a band, a phase, or a brief shooting star. We give and sacrifice everything to do what brings the band to the forefront of the music scene in this modern age. We want to stress to our fellow musicians to bring El Paso to the spotlight. We fought to have our new music video filmed in El Paso and not Los Angeles because this is our home. No matter where we go from here, everything we’ve ever been lucky to receive has come from here. Even if we’ve had to fight against a tide of certain groups that go out of their way to ensure that we don’t succeed.”You can check out the band’s El Paso filmed music video for “Till it Burns” on YouTube and streaming on MTV2. They will be kicking off their first US tour this November and a film crew will be documenting their journey as they embark on this new adventure. Meanwhile, you can hear FOXY MOJO across the US and the UK on iTunes, Spotify and Google Play. You can also see them on bookshelves now at Barnes & Noble with their soundtrack for “Leo The Lion: The Circus Ratt” by Hugo Escobedo.
And as always – Stay FOXY. - El Paso Mag
Foxy Mojo are fairly new to the El Paso music scene but, they have already made a lot of progress. Here’s their story, in their own words:
Born & raised in El Paso, Foxy Mojo was originally formed by half-brothers Tristian London (Rhythm Guitarist/Lead Singer) & Eric Ericson (Lead Guitarist). Their full length debut album, which they spent a year recording at Contra Studios, consists of material they’d been secretly working on since they were 17.
2015 saw the addition of Alexander Rodriguez (Bass – Backing Vocals) & Tristan Torres (Drums). Since then, Foxy Mojo have played on every major stage in their hometown, major events like the 2016 El Paso Downtown Streetfest, and an impromptu live session/interview that saw curious El Pasoans join in on an acoustic performance at San Jacinto Plaza.
Their live shows are pretty intense as well, leaving them drenched in sweat, carrying instruments practically beaten by their theatrics. (Which if you ask them, is always worth it!)
Their debut album “Here They Come” has gotten air play in the UK & Scotland and a video for their first single, “Till It Burns“, is set to be filmed here in El Paso for a late fall debut on MTV. Listen for Foxy Mojo on KLAQ, Sunday nights during Q Connected!

FOXY MOJO have conquered their home market and are hungry for more. With sold out shows, non-stop festival slots, and recurring radio play in their native El Paso, the band is hard at work preparing for a nationwide push.
Luckily, the winds are blowing in their favor with arranged video placement on MTV2, a coast to coast tour coming up, and new, tested material in production. The band treats themselves as a business and are offering an opportunity to long term partners to share in their journey.
FOXY MOJO, An emerging Indie Alternative Rock band, FOXY MOJO combines Libertines-esque upbeat, Brit energy with a grandiose, modernrock sound similar to that of the Kings of Leon.
Their self-released debut album 'Here They Come' hit iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, and the world with featured radio play throughout the US and UK. - LivAmp
