They are currently looking to expand their roster and are looking for submissions from Sonicbids artists. The selected band will receive €300 Euro, a promo tour, PR/marketing, and more.


The Sonicbids band most capable of inspiring Urtovox will be granted the following:


  • €300 Euro, accommodations on show nights, plus dinner and breakfast

  • Record licence and distribution

  • PR and marketing promotion via press, web, radio and TV

  • A 7-gig promo tour and related promotion


Accepted genres include indie, alternative, pop, rock, punk, Brit, shoegaze, twee, electronica, post, matt-rock, psychedelic, singer/songwriter, folk, and alt-country.



At this time, Urtovox has 16 artists on their roster. Crowned "Record Label of the Year" in the 2006 edition of MEI (Faenza) -the most important Italian indie record expo- Urtovox has drawn attention to a number of great bands including A Toys Orchestra, Les Fauves, Beatrice Antolini, Appaloosa, Ultra Violet Makes Me Sick, Goodmorning Boy and many others.



They traditionally find new talent through live gigs, demos, myspace, and their own channels and filters, and artists on their roster currently showcase artists at Popkomm (Germany) and MEI (Italy). Guaranteeing all artists on its roster maximum media promotion (both specialized sector-related press and non), Urtovox uses web, radio and TV, throughout Italy and Europe. Expertise in booking management has also allowed Urtovox to ensure that its bands play gigs at the best rock clubs and festivals in Italy and Europe.



Since 2000, Urtovox has undisputedly been the reference point on the Italian/European indie rock, alternative, and electronic music scenes thanks to its efficient PR and promotional work as well as widespread distribution throughout Italy (Audioglobe) and Europe (Cargo - UK and DE).
