Truck America Festival 2011

Don't miss your LAST CHANCE to submit to Truck America, now in its second year. Truck America once again brings the 14 year tradition of the UK's renowned Truck Festival to the United States. This year's lineup features The Hold Steady, Okkervil River, The Felice Brothers, Ra Ra Riot, Wye Oak, The Low Anthem, and more.

Truck America has reserved 4 slots for Sonicbids artists, and all selected artists will be compensated, and can retain 100% of merch sales./n/nTruck America is no longer accepting submissions for the 2011 festival. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The Truck America Festival 2011 brings the 14 year tradition of Truck Festival to the United States for the second time. It will take place at the Full Moon Resort in the heart of the Catskills near Woodstock, NY. At least 4 Sonicbids artists will be selected for Truck America 2011. Most genres will be considered - alternative rock, electronic, folk, country, world, rock, rave, etc. - although an independent mindset is what's most important.

Selected artists receive:

• Minimum of $50 as a travel stipend, although more compensation is available, depending on the artist


• Artists retain 100% of merchandise sales

Confirmed performers for 2011 include The Hold Steady, Okkervil River, The Felice Brothers, Ra Ra Riot, Wye Oak, The Low Anthem, Alberta Cross, Richard Buckner and more. Past performers include Mercury Rev, The Joy Formidable, Willy Mason, White Rabbits, Neil Halstead, and many more. Attendance is anticipated to be at least 1,000.
