Summary
The Ultimate Louisiana Party-Blues & Cultural Festival will select 10 Sonic Bids artists to perform at this 2-day festival at Dan Electro's in Houston, TX to an expected crowd of 800 people. Selected acts will be compensated with 30 tickets, each valued at $10.
The Opportunity
The Ultimate Louisiana Party was created in 2011 by Henry Turner Jr. These family-friendly events bring the culture, excitement and fun of Turner's home state to audiences around the country. They also give musicians a place to showcase their music, songs, spoken word and visual arts.
Since its inception, parties have been held in Texas, Arizona, California, Oregon, Utah, Idaho and Washington State. The ever evolving celebrations are now turning into 2-day festivals with local, regional, national and international performances.
The Band
- Blues, rock, Americana, spoken word, Christian, world, Latin, R&B, comedy, and jazz acts are encouraged to apply
- Must be able to perform a family-friendly set
The Gig
Details:
- There is an indoor and outdoor stage at the event
- Backline gear will include T-Watt guitar amplifiers, drum kits and PA system, with a minimum of 4 vocal microphones
- Selected acts will additionally have the opportunity to perform in a Les Paul Society/Houston Songwriters 90-minute jam session
- Selected acts can sell merch on-site and keep all of the profits
- Selected acts will receive 30 tickets valued at $10 each to either sell or use as a promotional tool
