Summary
Best of the Underground -- a night of awesome indie rock, will commence from Wild Goose Creative on the third Friday of February. Four awesome acts are being sought to perform at the non-profit.
Bands play 30-40 minute sets with the first band kicking things off at 8PM sharp. Venue is bare bones, BYOB.
The Opportunity
BOTU gives artists a chance to flourish they may not otherwise receive. It also gives a touring band a stop along their route to make up travel and refreshment costs.
The Band
- Looking for at least two bands (preferably three)
- Must be local to Columbus to bring in a crowd
- Indie, rock, grunge, alternative, pop, electronic will suffice
- Four maximum will be booked for the event
The Gig
- 30-40 minute sets with the first band kicking things off at 8PM sharp
- WGC has a semi-permanent 12’ x 10’ stage at the front of the space that is 18” high with a front step. This may be used for concerts, performances, or a dining/eating area.
- The stage is built in 6: 3’ x 6’ sections and is movable. If you are interested in using it in another configuration (such as a runway/catwalk, risers, or elsewhere in the space), please let us know ahead of time.
- The space is BYOB/DIY, not a bar. Artists and patrons are expected to respect the facility by leaving the property better than they found it.
