PLAY: Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series in Prince Edward Island

The Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series has slots for up to 18 Sonicbids artists to play in the summer of 2016. Selected acts are compensated, determined at the time of booking. Acts can expect to be paid no less than $250.

The Cooperative de developpement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel organizes an annual summer concert series. Since its debut in 2008, the series has featured performances by over 550 artists including musicians, singers and story-tellers as well as 200 dancers, and has attracted over 10,000 spectators.

It is the most popular concert series of its kind during the summer on Prince Edward Island, selling out the 200-cap Mont-Carmel Parish Centre. Over the last two years, the series featured acts from Manitoba, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, the US, Belgium and Ireland.

• Open to acoustic and plugged acts
• Open to locals and Canadian acts, however, non-local bands and artists touring through the area during the time of the concert series will also be considered. Please note that travel expenses for touring acts are not provided.
• Family-friendly content is a must; acts with explicit or inappropriate content will not be considered

• Each show takes place on Sunday evenings at 7 pm
• 4 bands per night
• The series takes place on Sundays from July - August 2016
• 30-minute set
• Sound provided
• Backline currently includes a keyboard

• Compensation is determined at time of booking; acts can expect to be paid no less than $250

• May sell merch on site and keep 80% of profits; seller, float and table provided by venue
• May have a small guest list if necessary
