Summary

Pacific Records is the largest Indie Record Label in San Diego. The label was founded in 2003 under the name Real 2 Real records. A year and a half later they changed the name to Pacific and have been off and running ever since.

Pacific Records is a registered trademark, and is a division of Wingnut Media Group, Inc. Started by two young entrepreneurs, the company has divisions that include a Retail Store, Recording Studio, CD Duplication/Screen Printing, Publishing, and Record Label. All of these services are available to artists signed with Pacific Records.

Their offices are located in Chula Vista, California and they have a company wide total of 12 employees. They are NAMM members, annually attend NAMM Conferences, ASR Shows, CES in Las Vegas, amongst others. They also have booths on the Warped Tour.

The genres currently represented by the label include: indie rock, pop, rock, punk, emo, screamo, alternative, and underground hip-hop. The label will accept submissions from all genres, and if they believe in somebody, they will work tirelessly to help them succeed

Prominent artists include Get Back Loretta, an indie rock band who is being featured in MTV2's On the Rise. The band won best new artist at the 2005 San Diego Music Awards, and are nominated this year for Best Pop Artist! They've played hundreds of shows, and television credits include local music shows and news broadcasts showcasing their talent. Also on the label is A Dead Giveaway, an alternative/punk/screamo band also being featured on MTV2's On the Rise. A Dead Giveaway has played with bands such as The Used, and My Chemical Romance, and on tours such as the Taste of Chaos.

Pacific Records is looking for artists ranging from "talented but in need of development" to "ready to break." The luxury of owning a recording studio allows the artists ample time to put out the albums that they want to record. Pacific Records offers their artists tour support, venues to play shows at, promotion via radio, television, print, and online. They are ambitious, but ethical, and will push you to the top!
