Summary
Be a part of the exciting line up at this yearÂ’s 5th Annual Gateway Festival; a 3-day, high energy family-friendly event held in the small town of Bengough, Saskatchewan. This year's festival will be held July 24 - 26th, 2009 and will continue to provide an incredible lineup of affordable family-friendly entertainment for all musical tastes. Selected artists will be compensated for their performances as well as travel/lodging expenses.
Plenty of exciting additional activities include: Gateway to the world Pavilion (a mini mosaic), artisans, workshops, children's activities, Car Show & Shine, parade, street market, food vendors and camping to capture the full festival experience. They celebrate a diversity of music with a community feel, including everything from folk, roots, blues, country, rock, world and more. Last year's performers included: Doc Walker (MB), Greg Keelor (ON) with members of Blue Rodeo and the Sadies, Ndidi Onukwulu (BC), Shane Yellowbird (AB), Wil (AB), Searson (ON), Paul Cargnello(QE), The Re-Mains (Australia), Eleye de Cuba (CUBA), Colin Bullock (Australia), Ben Sures (ON), The Divorcees (NB) and many from Sask including: Kory Istace vs the Time Pirates, Skavenjah, Amy Nelson, Library Voices, The Rabid Whole, Unstrung Harps, Wild Fire & Tribal Vibes, Bandja and more.
