Accolades and Applause for East Coast Music Week

  • “If you are on the East Coast of Canada - The ECMA's are top notch. They're a really forward moving group and I've honestly found that they want to work with artists and mold their organization to be exactly what their artists want it to be. In 2009 I had several suggestions that I wanted to see happen - and for the 2010 ECMAs - they adopted a lot of what we wanted (in our case - bringing delegates that catered to the punk / metal community) Top Notch Festival / Group" - The Motorleague

  • “ECMA 2010 was the most important event to date and incredibly important for my development of the music industry as a career choice and advancement of opportunities for my artists. Between relationship building, Kim's profile and success, and the leg work we had done in the year prior, we came out of the conference with at least a year's worth of follow up to do. Thanks again for all your work and for running an incredibly power-packed Domestic & International industry conference”. - Adam Lomas, Management (Kim Wempe, Carmel Mikol), NS

  • “Wow...I hope you've managed to catch up on some sleep and have recovered OK. What a week! I just wanted to sincerely thank you for everything you did to make my ECMA experience so enjoyable. The music was fantastic and you could not have been more thoughtful and considerate. I wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your hospitality and hard work. I have enough material to put together an hour ECMA special within my Radio 2 program this Saturday night (from the various compilations etc). - Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2 (England, UK)

  • “Created as a device to enhance export capacity and build cultural collaborations between Canadian and Australia artists, The Sydney Meets Sydney partnership exceeded the expectations of all involved. Not only were two fantastic original songs written by the talented participating artists, but the relationships that were established amongst the peripheral networks of management/labels will go a long way towards potential success in the respective markets. We are all now looking forward to June and hosting the East Coast artists in Sydney, Australia as part of Song Summit 2010, where the opportunities and outcomes from the partnership will continue to expose themselves." - Millie Millgate, APRA/ AMCOS (Australia)
