Durango Song Contest 2007

The Durango Song Contest was designed as a means to find 2 great artists to work with established, hit songwriters at the Durango Songwriter’s Expo in Santa Barbara. This is not another song contest offering cash prizes or gear. The Durango Song Contest is YOUR chance to write a song with a hit-maker.

Take advantage of the new and very special opportunity... the opportunity to not only be with, but to WRITE with hit songwriters at the very next Expo!

Two winners, one in each category (Pop/Rock and Country/Americana), will be selected. A maximum of Two songs per category will be reviewed. There are separate submissions for each category. Please be conscious of which category you are submitting for.

A panel of music industry professionals will select the winners. The winner in each category will receive free registration in the 2007 Santa Barbara EXPO (a $225 value), May 31 – June 2, 2007.

This year’s Pop/Rock winners will get to write with songwriters Tony Scalzo (Fastball) and Grammy winner Ben Marguiles (Mariah Carey) and the Country Americana winner will get to write with songwriting master Jeremy Stover (Jack Ingram, Sarah Evans, Danielle Peck).

Additionally, the winner of each category will also receive a one song publishing deal with either peermusic (Pop/Rock) or Windswept Pacific (Country/Americana).
