CIMMfest has a minimum of 3 slots open for bands to play at venues throughout Chicago during our 8th annual music and film festival April 14-17, 2016.
The Opportunity
CIMMfest is Chicago's only film and music festival, featuring music oriented films with music from around the world. CIMMfest will book 150+ bands over 4 days in venues from 100- 800+.
We showcase bands of all genres; from blues to classical - hip hop to funk. We want to book great bands, singer song writers and performers who live for music and take their art and business seriously.

Yo La Tengo, Booker T, EMA, Chance the Rapper, Trust, Escort, Funky Meters, Sugarhill Gang, Lydia Loveless, The Hood Internet, Sierra Leone Refugee Allstars

The Band
- All genres accepted
- Artists who do live scoring to films/visuals are encouraged to submit
- Chicago artists or touring bands already coming through the region
The Gig
Details:
- 30-90 minute set length
- Indoor shows
- No backline provided
- Professional sound and lighting provided
- Sound engineer provided
- Selected artists can choose between festival passes OR compensation
- Compensation is either a flat rate of minimum $100-$250 or a door split (split determined by venue, higher rate negotiable on signing dependent on significant draw)
- Drinks provided
