The 4th Annual Canadian Music Café is taking place September 9 - 11, 2008, during the Toronto International Film Festival®. The Café showcases 15 artists to Music Supervisors, Feature Film producers and directors from around the world and has become a Festival destination for these tastemakers.



Canadian Music Café has showcased 45 artists in the past 3 years and has been met with overwhelming success and support from the film and music industries. Some of the artists who have performed include: Steven Page (of Barenaked Ladies), Ron Sexsmith, Chantal Kreviazuk, Oh Susanna, K'naan, The Trews, Sarah Slean, Mobile, The Road Hammers, Molly Johnson, Stabilo, Great Lake Swimmers
and United Steel Workers of Montreal.



The Canadian Music Café is a unique opportunity to showcase Canadian talent to the international film industry in an intimate environment. It creates awareness and opportunity for Canadian artists and provides a stage to help generate exposure and revenue for artists, labels and publishers.



The Café has elected to use Sonicbids for its online submissions.



The Canadian Music Café is an initiative developed by the Canadian music industry and is collaboratively produced by the Canadian Independent Record Production Association (CIRPA), the Canadian Music Publishers Association (CMPA),
the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA), the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN), and, in partnership with the Toronto International Film Festival Group and in association with the Government of Canada.
