BritBus Tour 2007 UK Band Competition

The BritBus Tour is dedicated to promoting emerging British bands and British music in the USA. Do you think you are a great British band? Then submit your music today with a chance to win some great prizes and have your music promoted for a month across the USA as our classic double decker bus travels across the USA for the third year running. Join us at the exclusive tour party in NY at the end of the tour and win a Gibson guitar, a Premier drum kit, an Ashdown amplifier, promotion of the bands music alongside major label artists for The BritBus Tour in the USA and an invitation to join the final party in New York when The BritBus Tour arrives in June 2007. When submitted, your songs will be reviewed by the entire A&R class at the New York University Steinhardt Music Business Program. We are looking for bands and singer/songwriters in genres including Rock and Pop. One band will be selected as the winner April 13th 2007 and promoted through the BritBus Tour 2007.



Now in its third year, The BritBus Tour was founded by entrepreneur and singer/songwriter Julia Jones. Former banker with an MBA, Julia recognised the demise of British music and created The BritBus Tour, an annual event promoting British music in the USA using the iconic red double decker bus traveling coast to coast through heartland America.



The 2006 tour was a huge success with 18 events, showcases and listening parties over more than a month and 4,000 miles in a vintage double decker bus staged across the USA reaching millions of US British music fans. The winners of last year's competition, Proxy, have since been signed to a label.



Eligibility Requirements

In order to be eligible, all band members must meet the following criteria:

• British and resident in the UK
  
• The youngest member of the band must be 18 or over
  
• Bands may not have more than five members
  
• Not signed to a major label
  
• Available 24 Jun 2007 if they want to accept the invitation to New York upon winning (this date is subject to change without notice according to tour schedules - please be sure of availability around this time and monitor www.thebritbustour.com for updates)
  
• You must submit one original song and it must be new and original (no covers) and belong to the band
