BMI Presents: Demo Center Contest

Are you a singer? A band? Trying to get a record deal? Trying to be heard?



The first thing any musician needs if they want to pursue a career is music in a GREAT DEMO! Today’s record labels expect a musician to come in sounding like a pro with pro material. Here's your chance to have top industry pros make a radio ready demo for you!



The Demo Center, in association with BMI, is taking submissions for its first annual Demo Competition. The contest is open exclusively to Sonicbids members.



The winner will be chosen by a panel of highly regarded music industry A&R executives and will enjoy a trip to New York City to record a 3 song demo at the state of the art Demo Center recording studios. The trip includes round trip airfare (up to 4 people) from anywhere in the continental United States and a 3 night hotel stay*. You may submit a maximum of 3 songs. All genres of music are welcome. Deadline for entries is April 15th, 2006.



In association with Disc Makers, BMI and Disc Makers will also provide the winner with 1,000 free CDs!



The Demo Center is a full service music production company that specializes in cutting edge demos and building artist's careers. Royalties are then distributed by BMI to the writers, composers and music publishers it represents. BMI's roster of affiliated songwriters and composers is unsurpassed and includes outstanding creators in every style of musical composition such as: John Lennon, David Bowie (PRS), Willie Nelson, The Eagles, Carlos Santana , Sir Elton John (PRS), Black Eyed Peas, Maroon 5, Juanes, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, John Legend, Mariah Carey, Kanye West, Eminem, Conor Oberst, Ricky Martin, Keane, Norah Jones, Evanescence, Snoop Dogg, to highlight just a handful.



Please note: All band members must be 18 years or older to be eligible.



*The winner will be awarded a monetary stipend to be used for their hotel reservations. Winner is responsible for booking their hotel room.
