The Alternative Cafe

The Alternative Cafe, located in Seaside, CA, is a staple in the community for all art happenings and local events. It is looking to book local to touring solo artists and bands to perform live on various nights of the week. The Alternative Cafe welcomes all acoustic, Americana and folk artists (please no metal or punk submissions). Artists will be compensated. Here’s what selected artists get:

• Artists will be compensated. This amount will be negotiated at the time of booking.


• A sound system and a sound engineer will be provided at the venue, but artists are responsible for bringing their own instruments and any additional equipment.

About the venue:


The Alternative Cafe, capacity 45, provides a showcase for all of BoundWord’s endeavors and a venue for interacting with the community. Art openings every month featuring a mix of local artists, city artists and the artists art-f/x publishes. Local meetings, functions, seminars and classes make use of the gallery space. In addition to all of this, as the name suggests it is also a cafe.
